🍝 Rick’s Spaghetti and Meat Sauce
This quick and hearty meat sauce is packed with flavor and carries just enough heat from the crushed red pepper. It’s an easy meal for home, deer camp, or anywhere you need to feed a hungry crew.
Ingredients
1 pound breakfast sausage
1 jar Rao’s Marinara Sauce
¼ cup olive oil
1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Salt and black pepper to taste
Your favorite pasta, cooked according to the package directions
Directions
Add the breakfast sausage, olive oil, minced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to a Dutch oven or large skillet.
Cook over medium heat, breaking the sausage into small pieces as it browns.
Once the sausage is completely cooked, do not drain the grease.
Pour in the Rao’s Marinara Sauce and stir everything together.
Reduce the heat and allow the meat sauce to simmer for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve hot over your favorite pasta.
🔥 Campfire Tip
Serve it with garlic bread and top it with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. If you like extra heat like I do, sprinkle a few more crushed red pepper flakes on top!
